What's new.

The old extension swapped the player for an embed, which YouTube broke in late 2025. This version takes the approach uBlock Origin uses and adds an on/off button that knows when to get out of the way.

• ■One-button on/off in the popup and a toolbar icon that is gray, green or red to match.
• ■Hides the “Experiencing interruptions?” toast and shortens the start-of-video penalty by reloading the player with the right client hints.
• ■Auto mode: tries to take over, and if videos stop starting or another blocker is detected on the page, falls back to only hiding the toast and remembers the choice.
• ■Removes ad slots from player data so in-video ads are skipped even when your blocker only filters network requests.
• ■English and Chinese interface, light and dark popup, no data collection.
